Mia - one very frustrated cat

Here's Mia - a very frustrated (but thankfully not badly injured) cat, looking longingly out of the cat flap.
The vet said she both her front legs, elbows & shoulders were very swollen, the right more than the left. Fortunately nothing is broken. She had an anti-inflammatory injection & has got more anti-inflammatory medication to take for a week. However, she is not allowed outside for a week & now she is literally climbing the walls, she is not a cat who likes to be indoors when the weather is fine. Meanwhile, I am also climbing the walls as I can't have the doors & windows open - I am melting. Thank goodness work has climate control lol

ps, Mia is nearly doing her "Gremlin" impression in the first photo - & yes, we do feed her after dark & she has got wet before (if you remember the film!)

It seemed like a good idea at the time!

You know how it seems like a good idea to do something at the time - then later you wonder why you started it? Well, today has been one of those days. On Friday I bought some great little drawers which I knew would be ideal to store my Promarkers in. That worked brilliantly, however the drawers would not fit on my desk, so that meant a reorganisation, which turned out to be a lot bigger job than I had envisioned. Several hours later (with a break to go to a retirement tea party), I have finally managed to get straight again, but it's now taking me a while to find where I have relocated things to. lol.

Tomorrow my young cat Mia will be going to the vets. She came back limping very badly & is very subdued (most unusual for her). I'm not sure if she has had a close encounter with a car perhaps. Hopefully she has just sprained her shoulder, I don't think she has broken anything, but I'm keeping her nil by mouth tonight until the vet has seen her just in case she needs an x ray. Then it'll be a school end of term concert to dash out to as soon as I get in from work. phew - roll on end of term!

This is a card I made for my July friendship swap partner. Jost on Do Crafts.

I have internet access again!

I was going to post this on Monday, but there was a hiccup in the process of transferring between internet providers, so I had no email access etc. Now I have been reconnected, so can post once again. I couldn't believe how many emails I had in my inbox. Anyway, I hope to look at all the lovely blog posts I've missed, once I've made something to eat.

Out of frame Tilda #1

I have been so busy recently (& ehausted!) with work & other things recently, that I have not had time to blog, or do any of the other things I want to do- it looks like this week may go the same way too.

I am going to London one day this week as my daughter has an interview there. It will be nice to spend some time with just her, & to visit a museum too while she is at the interview. She is worried she will not be able to find Canary Wharf (!) so wants some moral support too - I haven't told her that I've never been there either lol

I have spent the weekend making a few cards for someone who is doing me a favour.

To maximise the use of my nesties, I have used the out of frame technique for this Tilda.
